Cozzar's post in Problem adding character skins after update was marked as the answer
Hi Einjam,
When installing mods the files will automatically name itself to what it needs to be, renaming will cause the file to fail to load and more likely crash the game, verifying your files will fix this.
Please just drag and drop the generated file in your flashinglights_data file, and overwrite the globalgamemanager file and it should be installed properly.
I've installed and tested editing uniform files in both sharedassets2.assets as well as resources.assets (All departments uniforms can now be found in resources to make modding them easier) and both have been named Globalgamemanagers.assets, without renaming the file and overwriting globalgamemanager and all loaded.
** You do not need to edit both files to install one skin, either resources or sharedassets2 and it will be fine.
Any issues let us know.

https://www.flmods.com/files/category/47-original-textures/ - Original files which can be used as a template
https://www.flmods.com/files/file/289-herogus3xds-template-pack/ - Black and white template pack
https://www.flmods.com/files/file/477-white-vehicle-templates/ - White template pack
https://www.flmods.com/files/file/615-pierce-ladder-truck-texture-template-24-colors-blank-vanilla/ - Ladder truck template
https://www.flmods.com/files/file/619-international-ford-ambulance-texture-template-24-colors-blank-vanilla/ - Ambulance templates
Using these i would suggest overlaying the templates with the UV mapping which will make it easier to see where all the edges for the vehicles are located, https://www.flmods.com/files/file/131-flashing-lights-uv-maps-more-than-shown-in-preview/

Cozzar's post in Help was marked as the answer
When you install using UABE just save whatever file name it automatically saves it and drag and drop the new either resources.assets, sharedassetsx.assets, or globalgamemanager.assets into your flashing lights data file.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlUAELpaiUE&t=111s&ab_channel=GarrettPlays < Is a good tutorial to follow along with and most recent.
"Import Vehicle config" has nothing to do with skins, it's used to import entire vehicle light setups into the game and there's no way as of yet to install mods in-game without using UABE.

Cozzar's post in extended lighting reflection distance was marked as the answer
Hi alexgordon426,
At the moment it's not possible to make the lights reflect further away, you can check out reshade which might make them look better however.

Cozzar's post in Any videos on how to make custom liveries for vehicles?? was marked as the answer
Hi alanrssll481, retexturing and creating you own skins are similar to any other game, there hasn't been many gimp tutorials i found after a quick search however you can give this one a go (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JALZnODuag&ab_channel=TEG) just remember to use flashinglights templates which can be downloaded from the download section or exported from your files using UABE.
I've included several other tutorials not using gimp that might be of some help

Cozzar's post in How to fix a issue of my interior textures are glitched was marked as the answer
Merged both your topics to make it easier to answer.
Sounds like you have put the wrong template on the wrong section, the Pumper has 2 parts you need to mod (cabin and body). Verifying the files on steam will remove all mods or replacing the textures again ensuring they are properly installed will also fix it.
Steam verifying: -
Go to steam library
- right click on ''Flashing Lights''
- Select ''Properties''
- Head to ''Local Files''
- Select ''Verify integrity of game files...'

Cozzar's post in Chat commands was marked as the answer
All the commands can be found on the flashing lights discord community in #help-in-game.
Useful Codes To Use In Game Below are a few useful codes which can be used in the chat box. To open the Text box, tap T. /m-cancel = Cancel current mission /v-reset = Reset vehicle in front of character
/tp-hq = Teleport character to start point (works only when on foot)
/kick_id = Multiplayer Host can kick players by their id found in list pressing Tab. Example /kick_1001
/ban_id = Multiplayer Host can ban players by their id found in list pressing Tab. Example /ban_1001
/nm_id = set Next Mission by id. Force next mission as set, it does not force the call, it will appear still at random time. Can not be the same twice in a row. Use T to open chat and use the command. ID list on Steam - https://steamcommunity.com/app/605740/discussions/0/1735469327934106789/
FREE CAM
/cam1 & /cam0 = Free fly camera on/off, suggested to use outside of mission operations and custom views to avoid bugging the mission and/or player movement

Cozzar's post in Mac download was marked as the answer
To mod a mac version of the game you are required to have a windows user assist you since UABE doesn't run on macs. You need to send your sharedasset file or resources.assets files (depending on what you are modding) to them and they are required to install the mods and send it back to you, then simply drag and drop the editted files into your flashinglights_data file, overwrite when asked to and it should be in the game.

Cozzar's post in If you download a custom skin, will other people in game be able to see it? was marked as the answer
Mods are unsupported making them client side, so no you can’t see other people’s mods, the only thing you can see is their light(ing) setups. Not sure why you would have seen it unless you used someone’s asset file that had the mod installed

Cozzar's post in Asset bundle extractor has no edit plugin was marked as the answer
Hi mozart,
There are several reasons why this may occur;
Firstly, Make sure you have selected the correct file database, this will be the last on on the list (you need to scroll down to the bottom)
Secondly, Please make sure you have the correct file type, This can be found on the third column next to the name. (Texture2D is the only one you edit for skins)
If all these are correct and the problem still occurs, we can see what we can do from there.

Cozzar's post in Belt badge was marked as the answer
Hi Wyatt, the badge is located on each uniform texture next to the pants.
Please be aware I have also moved this to the correct category (questions) as this section of the forums is for users who are posting any tutorial to do with modding and not a mod question category.

Cozzar's post in A few questions [Answered] was marked as the answer
1) Community Reputation points are added to a user automatically when someone reacts positive to a file/post you have posted.
2) Rank system is based on the users total amount of posts, the more posts you have, the higher you are
3) Flags are different based on a number of things;
Influencer - Influencer role in Flashing Lights discord (check the requirements on there)
Mod Creator - Uploading a certain amount of mods
Mod Creator+ - Same as above just higher
Member + - Purchased through flmods store (or won on FLMODS discord)
I believe there's more but can't think of them -
4) How can I change my name?
You can change your name by buying the member+ subscription, or if you really have a good reason. Create a support ticket requesting a name change. This must be a very good reason. Reasons like ''I just don't like my name'' will be denied.

Hi 14Racer21, Unfortunately you are unable to remove the tie at this time on the characters, best you can do is recolour it and faintly hide it.

Cozzar's post in How do I fix ambulances? was marked as the answer
The Large ambulance has 2 different textures which need to be modded, Veh_EMS-03_Cabin-dif which edits only the cabin aswell as Ambulance_complete_Body_LP_AlbedoTransparency (This is the same as the smaller ambulance however it is the one with the higher path ID).
For your second problem be sure to use the correct texture file as the smaller ambulance has a few different mirror problems for the door compared to the newer one which will cause problems with the back doors if the incorrect ones are used.

Cozzar's post in How do i make skins? was marked as the answer
It's as simple as opening the default skin template with any editing software, gimp (free), paint.net (free), paint (free), photoshop (paid) or any other editing software out there, once you have edited over the default skin, install it the normal way and it should appear in the game.
gimp - https://www.gimp.org/downloads/
paint.net - https://www.getpaint.net/download.html
I'd also recommend using the uv wraps to see exactly where all parts of the car is, however this can only be used when you can use multiple layers, (set the opacity lighter so you can see the other layer and edit normally.

Cozzar's post in is this at all possible to do in flashing lights? was marked as the answer
Its not possible (at this point) to add new texture slots, in saying this some vehicles now have 3 texture slots you can edit meaning you can have a city, county, and highway texture on the vehicle but losing the ability to have an unmarked (depends on the mods you install ofcourse)
